It Wisnae Meeeee!?!
Politics, Rants May 21st, 2006
Relax, it’s OK, the government would never do anything bad with our information so why not just give it to them? It helps in the fight against crime, right? It keep us safe from terrorists, right?
Aye, right so it does!
So safe that, in fact, the government has managed to fuck up the lives of 2,700 people by wrongly branding them as criminals just because their details were “similar” to some other fucking criminal who just happened to have a “similar” name.

What the fuck! They palm it off by saying that it’s a tiny percentage of cases. I don’t care what percentage it is the only acceptable percentage here is ZERO percent.
Any one of us could be among those 2,700 souls - branded as a thief or a sex offender. And the worst thing is you wouldn’t have a clue until you tried to apply for a job or get cleared to work with children.
It’s a fucking complete disgrace and heads should roll for it big time. I hope the real victims here are paid healthy compensation for this but I doubt it somehow.
